Mrs Maples Fountain Fundraiser by Steve Edwards : Mrs Maple’s Fountain Restoration 

 

Restoring a Piece of Local History

We are currently raising funds to restore and preserve Mrs Maples Fountain, located in Penge Recreation Ground just off the High Street.

This historic fountain was one of the earliest in our part of south-east London and once provided a vital source of fresh water for the community. Over time, however, it has fallen into disrepair.

This project is supported by Heritage of London Trust.

 

Our Goal

With the continued support of the community, we aim to restore the fountain to its former glory. Restoration work is currently planned to begin in late 2026.
