What an amazing Festival !!!!

On its 50th anniversary we have had an amazing Penge Festival, which has enabled us to raise funds and awareness for many of Bromley Charities including.

St Christopher’sHospice
Living Well
Bromley Brighter Beginnings
CASPA- Bromley
The BAT Trust
LGBTQ+
RSPB Bromley
The Gateway Club

We have supported to raise the profile and much needed funds for The West Beckenham Bowls Club with BINGO night and The Penge Heritage trail with walks and talks and poetry. We have hosted shows in partnership with the excellent Bridgehouse Theatre and held important charity and community events at Melvin Hall and the Penge East Community Centre. This year, more pubs than ever have been involved in the festival. The Goldsmiths , The Bridgehouse, The Pawleyne Arms and The Maple Tree as well as the Southey Taproom have all held events. Some of our local restaurants have also been involved with the Cockail and Curry Night introducing the Penge Colada at Himalayan Kitchen and an Elvis night at Friends of Flavours.
We have also worked alongside our local school with whom we launched a competition with designs from student to front the Penge Festival Programme.
It has been a great year working with our local cadets and scouts for our Uniformed Services Day. For younger children we also ran The Teddy Bears Picnic, The Penge Rec Sports Day and The Children’s Funday. All received fantastic support and feedback.

This year we were also very exited and proud to launch the first Penge Pride Picnic which was held in Cator Park leading in nicely to Pride Month.

We also loved holding events supporting our vulnerable residents and Penge Festival’s tradition of hosting a Karaoke and Buffet for the Gateway Club and a meal, raffle and Entertainment Show for The Penge Older People’s Network ( in partnership with Melvin Hall) continue to be highlights

Being a four week festival it is difficult to mention all events. The many choirs, bands, bingo and quiz nights to name a few. To anyone we have missed out that has helped or performed at our events we thank you so much. We appreciate your time, efforts and contribution to our community.

A few special thank you to those who, outside the committee, have been integral to the success of the festival. They include.
